What is Cinco Días?
Cinco Días is a Spanish business daily belonging to the Spanish media group PRISA. In 2008, the newspaper had a circulation of 90,000 copies.
On the occasion of its thirtieth anniversary, the newspaper has instituted the Cinco Días Awards for Business Innovation.
History
The business daily was founded in 1978, making it the oldest business daily in the Spanish business press. The newspaper was launched thanks to 21 million pesetas (125,000 euros) raised by its founders.
Cinco Días gains one million users after its takeover by El País
Cinco Días has done very well to be absorbed last April by El País. Since the economic digital has become a sub-portal of El País, Cinco Días has gained one million unique users.
Specifically, Cinco Días registered 3.6 million unique users last May, according to the latest comScore report; while its average number of visitors during the first months of 2017 was around 2.6 million.
