Thousands of Irish people have demonstrated this afternoon in downtown Dublin to protest against the massive illegal immigration their country has faced in recent years, which has direct and visible consequences for street safety.

The demonstrators, largely complete families, gathered at the Garden of Remembrance at 2:00 PM local time, some carrying Irish tricolor flags, as well as signs and banners with slogans like “Ireland first.”

The march began at Parnell Square—where an Algerian immigrant stabbed five people in November, including three children—towards the Liffey River along O’Connell Street, with a significant police presence despite its peaceful nature.

Members of the National Party and the Irish Freedom Party were present at the demonstration.

Counter-protests by the far left Simultaneously, there was a counter-protest in front of the O’Connell Post Office, defending immigration and legal policies, among other globalist policies.

There, a deputy from the leftist People Before Profit party claimed that those who say they are “defending our culture are doing the exact opposite.”
