UK law enforcement has arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a suspected arson attack carried out in the early hours of Monday at the former home of Prime Minister Keir Starmer, as well as two other incidents, all of which took place in London. The suspect has initially been charged with setting fires “with intent to endanger life.”

Investigators are examining whether the individual is linked to damage caused to a vehicle on May 8, another fire at the entrance of a property on May 11, and the fire at Starmer’s former residence. No injuries have been reported in any of the three incidents. The one related to the Prime Minister’s former home was described as “a small fire outside a property.” Specifically, the blaze was brought under control within about half an hour.

Starmer expressed his gratitude to the emergency services but refrained from commenting further, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper also declined to elaborate, stating, “The police are investigating these incidents and have my full support,” in remarks to the BBC.
