More than half of the employers consider that in the last year the regulatory burden, institutional quality, legal certainty, judicial independence and Marca España have worsened and almost 70% of them see the changes in labour regulations as detrimental, especially the prevalence of the company agreement and the increase in the minimum wage.
Three out of four entrepreneurs consider that the current management of European funds is negative (50.9%) or very negative (26.6%), compared to 5.8% who rate it as positive.
According to the results of the Círculo 2022 Business Survey published on Wednesday by the Círculo de Empresarios, more than 40% of Spanish entrepreneurs believe that European funds will have a high influence on economic recovery, especially by promoting digitisation and competitiveness.
In this survey, entrepreneurs are pessimistic about the situation of the Spanish economy, both for this year (61.9 % of them) and for next year (72.2 %), with a deterioration in trade flows, the exchange rate, energy costs and tensions in supply chains.
Despite this, almost half of those surveyed (45.7%) expect their turnover to increase this year, compared to 14.6% who believe it will decrease, and those who will increase their workforce (28.9%) outnumber those who will reduce it (14.7%).
Three out of four entrepreneurs say they are affected by inflation and more than half (55.3%) already partially pass on the higher cost of supplies to their sales prices.

To improve the labour market, respondents advocated linking wages to productivity and not to inflation (78.5 % of them) and reducing severance pay (59.9 %).
In the fiscal sphere, and with the aim of promoting economic growth, employers are in favour of encouraging investment, reducing social security contributions paid by the company and abolishing wealth tax.
They also advocate encouraging working life beyond the legal retirement age (66.3 % of them) and implementing the “Austrian rucksack” (66.3 %).
