Forbes unveils the names of the 100 best doctors in Spain

Forbes has published, for the sixth consecutive year, its list of the 100 best doctors in Spain in the fields of care, research and teaching, who work in both public and private centres throughout most of Spain.

Among them are specialists who practice in hospitals such as Vall d’Hebron, Ramón y Cajal, Complejo Asistencial Universitario de Salamanca, Fundación Jiménez Díaz, La Paz or Gregorio Marañón, as well as Hospital Universitario Quirónsalud Madrid, Hospital Universitario de Cruces, Hospital Universitario Puerta de Hierro, Centro Médico Teknon, Hospital Universitario Infantil Niño Jesús, Hospital Universitario Rey Juan Carlos, Hospital Universitario Virgen del Rocío de Sevilla, Hospital Clínico San Carlos or Hospital German Trials i Pujol, among more than 60 centres.

The list of the best doctors in this edition reflects a total of 26 medical-surgical specialities -Forbes has added Immunotherapy-, ranging from Cardiology, Pneumology, Neurology, Internal Medicine and Haematology to Urology, Paediatrics, Gynaecology, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Traumatology, Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology, among others.

ALLERGOLOGY

In Allergology, Dr. Carmen Vidal, director of the Allergy Service of the University Hospital Complex of Santiago, a centre with great international prestige in the field of research; Dr. Pedro Gamboa, a reference in Allergology in Bilbao with a career of more than 30 years, currently head of the Allergology section at the Cruces University Hospital;Dr. Ana  P. Montero, an allergist with an extensive professional career in both public and private medicine and current head of the Allergology Department at the Quirónsalud Madrid University Hospital; and Dr. Joaquín Sastre, head of the Allergology Department at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz, as well as Honorary Professor of the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
