20 Minutos continues to lead in digital audience and La Vanguardia is already third, according to GFK DAM
It was not a one-day thing. 20 Minutos has maintained its leadership in digital audience among the generalist media, which it had already achieved in April, according to data provided by GfK DAM for May. Moreover, it leads the ranking quite prominently, with 14.3 million unique registered users and an average daily audience of 2.4 million.
According to the media itself, information on Ukraine and interviews with Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Isabel Díaz Ayuso and Pilar Llop performed particularly well last month. Also successful, according to the newspaper, were the polls on voting intentions. Likewise, economic issues have also had a special follow up, as well as health news about child hepatitis and the spread of monkeypox. A separate case is Eurovision, which 20 Minutos covered exhaustively.
Its rivals are far from the figures presented by 20Minutos. Second in the generalist ranking is El Mundo, with 10.5 million unique visitors last month and an average daily traffic of 1.3 million people.
In the May ranking, the rise of La Vanguardia, which was leader for several months with Comscore and is now third with the GfK DAM measurement, based on a panel of users, stands out. Godó’s newspaper is practically tied with El Mundo, as it registered 10.4 million unique users last month. In average daily readership, it scored 887,000 readers.
El País, ABC, El Español, El Confidencial, ElDiario, El Periódico and OKDiario are in the top ten digital newspapers with the most unique monthly users.
