
Burger King takes Spain’s delivery platforms by storm
Burger King is the most trafficked food delivery platform in Spain. By far ahead of its rivals, such as McDonalds, Just Eat, Uber Eats and Glovo. According to data for October 2022 provided by GfK DAM, the advertising industry’s approved gauge of digital audiences in Spain, Burger King received 5.1 million unique users on its delivery platforms (web and app) last month.
The fast food company had an average daily audience of 426,800 people on its digital assets in Spain in October. According to GfK DAM data, each unique Burger King user spent an average of 10 minutes on its platform.
Burger King is thus rewarded for its strategy of directly managing its home deliveries through its own platform. It is true that users of other delivery apps can order from Burger King’s
delivery apps can order from the burger restaurant, but the GfK DAM data certifies that most of its customers order directly from the fast food multinational’s digital assets.
Its big rival – McDonalds – has diversified its home delivery more and, in its case, GfK DAM results for last month indicate that it had 303,000 unique users and an average daily audience of almost 11,000 people.
Another of the big fast food battles is between pizza restaurants. In this sector, Domino’s Pizza came out on top last month, with 1.3 million unique users and an average daily audience of 60,600 people.

Also in the top ten in the delivery sector are KFC (910,000 unique monthly users) and Taco Bell (657,000).
Just Eat, ahead of Glovo and Uber Eats
Apart from these fast food giants, the delivery platforms with the most traffic in Spain are Just Eat (3.9 million unique users), Glovo (3.2 million) and Uber Eats (2.2 million). It is on this last platform where users stay the longest: an average of 13 minutes per unique user.
This ranking also includes VIPS, which does not fall into any of the above categories. Last month it had 707,000 unique users and an average daily audience of 55,000 people.
