Italian entry into Publiespaña: Stefano Sala, Executive Chairman, and Davide Mondo, Chief Executive Officer
The new top management of Mediaset España has undertaken a revolution at Publiespaña, its advertising marketer, which will be in the hands of Italian executives. Stefano Sala is the new executive chairman of the company and Davide Mondo will be CEO.
Until now, the top executives of this Mediaset subsidiary were Paolo Vasile, as CEO (now out of the company); and Francisco Alum as General Manager. This executive maintains his position and his seat on the Board of Directors of Publiespaña, which is completed by Massimo Musolino, CEO of Management and Operations of Mediaset España; and Mario Rodríguez, Corporate General Manager of the group and assistant to the President of Mediaset España, Borja Prado.
This year has been a complicated one for Mediaset España’s advertising area. Advertising revenues fell by 6.3% in the year to September, a performance that was below that of its competitor Atresmedia.
Stefano Sala (Milan, 1962), as the new Executive Chairman of Publiespaña, will try to reverse this situation. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of Mediaset S.p.A., currently MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE, and of its Executive Committee since 2015, and has also been a member of the Board of Directors of RTI S.p.A. since 2017.
With a degree in Business Economics, his career has always been linked to the world of advertising and strongly linked to the MFE-MEDIAFOREUROPE conglomerate of companies, being CEO of Publitalia’80 S.p.A. He has held numerous positions in the group: since 2022 Chairman and CEO of Digitalia’08 and since 2017 CEO of Publieurope, becoming its Chairman from 2021, a position he also holds at present. He has also been Chairman of Mediamond since 2020, Director of RadioMediaset since 2016, Director of Mediaset Italia S.p.A. since 2020, Chairman of Videowalldes since 2019 and Director of Auditel since 2020.
Previously, he has been CEO and Chairman of other companies in the advertising industry such as GroupM, Mediaedge:Cia, Mindshare, and has held various positions at Media Insight/Mindshare, CIA.

After a long career linked to the advertising sector within Mediaset and specialising in digital advertising, Davide Mondo (Milan, 1970) begins a new phase in his new position as CEO of Publiespaña. Since 2009 he has held the position of CEO of Mediamond, a digital advertising company created between Mediaset and Mondadori; the position of General Manager of Radio at Digitalia’08 during 2022, the radio concessionaire of the RadioMediaset group; and since 2017 the presidency of AdTech Adventures, a joint venture created by Publitalia and Publiespaña to invest in technology companies within the advertising sector.
Davide Mondo has been a member since 2009 of the board of Audiweb, a committee created jointly by various audiovisual operators in Italy for the promotion and standardisation of digital measurement, and has also held various positions at Publitalia at the beginning of his career and at Tiscali Adv. where he was managing director until 2009.
