Zelensky urges allies to maintain pressure on Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called on international allies to sustain and intensify pressure on Russia. Amid continued conflict, Zelenskyy emphasized the importance of unity and increased support to counter Russian aggression effectively.
I spoke with @SecGenNATO Mark Rutte about the outcomes of yesterday’s Ukraine-NATO Council meeting, convened in response to Russia’s use of a new ballistic missile.
He highlighted the need for military aid, economic sanctions, and diplomatic efforts to keep the focus on holding Russia accountable for its actions.
As winter looms, Zelensky’s plea underscores the urgency of solidarity among Ukraine’s partners to ensure stability and deter further escalation.

More ammunition for Ukraine
At a two-day security summit in Sweden, leaders of the Nordic and Baltic states, as well as Poland, agreed to increase their support for Ukraine. Among other things, they said they would work to provide more ammunition.
“We will redouble our efforts, including defense industrial production in Ukraine, and invest to increase Ukraine’s ammunition supplies,” said Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
Ukraine faces devastating energy infrastructure attack
A massive Russian attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has left over a million homes without power as winter approaches. The assault, one of the most intense in months, targeted critical facilities in multiple regions, severely disrupting electricity supplies. Ukrainian officials reported damage to power plants, substations, and heating facilities, creating challenges for emergency services working to restore utilities.
This escalation highlights Russia’s strategy of crippling civilian infrastructure. Meanwhile, the international community continues to call for accountability as Ukrainians brace for a harsh winter under worsening conditions.
