The Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and the trade unions CCOO and UGT have agreed, in the Negotiating Committee of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, on a wage increase to be applied from 2023.
The agreed improvement will mean an increase of 4.5% on the 2022 salary tables, instead of the 1.25% that was initially foreseen in the agreement. In other words, it means the consolidation of an additional 3.25%, which will begin to be paid from 1 January.
Both parties, which in the case of the two signatory unions represents 71.38% of union representation, consider the agreement reached satisfactory, as it meets the objective of helping to mitigate the effect of inflation on workers in the sector.
The AEB highlights the value of the agreement and considers that both parties have acted with the responsibility required by the extraordinary socio-economic circumstances in which we find ourselves.
The wage increase decided is a recognition of the effort and personal commitment of the workers in the banking sector in this exceptional context.
