Julio Ariza: “Society accepts abortion sweetly, but that doesn’t justify it”
This Friday, Julio Ariza commented on Dando Caña, a programme on El Toro TV, on the decision of the Constitutional Court (TC) to uphold Zapatero’s abortion law – although there is no final ruling – and the time limit system, which also rejects the appeal filed by the Popular Party (PP) 13 years ago.
“Knowing the position of the TC and the PP clarifies things a lot. Indeed, I believe that Alberto Núñez Feijóo and his party have every right to defend programmatically the ideological, anthropological, sociological and legislative lines they deem appropriate. Consequently, other values that other parties will undoubtedly take up are excluded”. In this way, the journalist alluded to VOX’s position vis-à-vis the seagull’s party and expressed the opinion that, for this reason, it “confirms and reaffirms the need for its existence”.
Why the existence of VOX is necessary, according to Julio Ariza
In Ariza’s words, the existence of Santiago Abascal’s party is necessary because “when Feijóo says that Spanish society has accepted this law (referring to the abortion law) he is saying something that is a truism. Society has accepted it, just as it has accepted the pardons of the Procés, that Capitán Haya is now called Poeta Joan Margall, that ETA members are brought to prisons in the Basque Country or that in many parts of Spain you cannot take your children to school to learn Spanish. (…); how Spanish society has accepted that two guys with moustaches adopt a newborn baby because they want to be daddies instead of respecting the right of the child to be adopted by a father and a mother; how German society plunged Hitler into 33 when he adopted a lot of laws that went against nature and were real crimes, and German society accepted this democratically”.
Julio Ariza: “on the issue of abortion we are not only talking about one couple, but a trio, we are talking about three”.
The abortion triumvirate
The journalist pointed out that Alberto Nuñez Feijóo has clarified the position of the Genoa party: “he has done something very positive when he said that it is an issue that refers to and affects women, at the same time he said that it affects the couple and, I think, he wanted to refer to the father”, in other words, as Ariza clarified, “that effectively in this matter there is a father and a mother”.
“Unfortunately, Alberto Núñez Feijóo has not remembered that there is a third person called Nascitūrus (“the one who is going to be born”, in Latin), therefore, on the issue of abortion we are not only talking about a couple, but a trio, we are talking about three. And when the law, the policy forgets the third party, it is denying them their most fundamental right, their right to life. I believe that this is the beginning of suicide for a society, something completely unsustainable, and it is true that today Spanish society has accepted 100,000 murders a year without any problems. But it is also true that the pedagogical effect of the law itself, the impact of the media and the world-wide entertainment brought about by series and films, sponsoring and presenting abortion as a natural solution. All of this, plus the law itself, plus the silence of many social agents who should have spoken out but have remained silent, have led to it being accepted today, naturally”.
The Episcopal Subcommittee for the Family and Defence of Life of the Spanish Episcopal Conference (CEE) pronounces itself on the resolution of the Constitutional Court
Throughout history, society has accepted many things, but it has never “legitimised death, torture, murder or acts against nature. So today the absolute necessity of the existence of VOX has been reaffirmed, the position of the Popular Party has been clarified and, in addition, this ruling has made the EEC open its mouth, which is really admirable,” said Julio Ariza.
According to the published note to which the director of the channel referred, the EEC has asked the responsible administrations to promote aid for women to be able to experience motherhood instead of inciting and favouring abortion. “The communiqué they have issued is of an extraordinary seriousness, neatness and rigour”, he concluded.
