Makro is committed to training in the hotel and catering industry. This morning, the company signed a collaboration agreement with Hostelería de España with the aim of reinforcing its support for the national hotel and catering sector, at a key moment for its recovery.
Through this agreement, Makro and Hostelería de España have the firm objective of promoting the development of training activities and improving the professionalisation of people working in the Spanish hospitality business sector. Thus, Makro España will collaborate in the training actions through the Campus Hostelería platform, in line with its commitment to disseminate its knowledge to the hotel and catering industry.
David Martínez Fontano, Managing Director of Makro in Spain, said: “We are very proud to be able to sign this collaboration agreement with Hostelería de España and work together to promote the training of professionals in our country. For his part, the president of Hostelería de España, José Luis Yzuel, reaffirmed the importance of the agreement between the two organisations: “The professionalisation of the sector is one of the priorities at the moment. Undoubtedly, this must include specialised training adapted to the needs of a dynamic and constantly evolving sector. Having Makro as a partner in this process is a guarantee, as it has always been the perfect ally in the day-to-day running of businesses and has provided support in all the major challenges faced by the sector as a whole”.
Makro once again demonstrates its support for the hospitality sector in all the territories in which it is present. Thus, the company has launched several initiatives including collaboration with associations and organisations that look after the welfare of the Horeca sector, personalised advice and digitalisation services to help the hotel and catering industry.
Specifically, Makro has been working together with Hostelería de España for years to implement initiatives to help the sector: the Día de la Hostelería, Día Mundial de la Tapa or the First Edition of the Concurso de Tapas de Hostelería de España, are some of the projects in which the two entities work closely together.
