In the absence of an official announcement confirming the arrival of a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Madrid, the hotel and catering industry has made its first business estimates. All the bars, cafés, restaurants, special bars and other regional hospitality activities will reach a combined turnover of around 29.5 million euros during the three days of the event, distributed around the circuit, in the circuit itself with the restaurants and in the central area of Madrid (inside the M30).
This is one of the most important sporting events in the world, which will revolutionise the Spanish capital with the massive arrival of tourists, both national and international; not only Formula 1 and motor racing fans will come to Madrid, but also guests, sponsors and the teams and organisers of the event. The expected attendance at the circuit is 120,000 people during the various races: 54,000 international tourists, 30,000 tourists from different parts of Spain and 36,000 locals from Madrid. This attendance could be even higher, depending on the spaces provided by the organisers.
