Simmons & Simmons moves Andreas Elofs from London to Madrid to strengthen its investment funds team
International law firm Simmons & Simmons has announced that Andreas Elofs, Of Counsel in the firm’s Financial Markets practice, has relocated from its London office to start work in Madrid, strengthening the firm’s investment funds and asset management offering in Spain.
Andreas has spent his career to date in the City of London, advising on numerous aspects of private equity, including the formation of large international private equity, technology, credit and real estate funds.
He has also advised major institutional investors and organisations in relation to their private fund investments. In his own words, he has recently worked “with one of the world’s largest sovereign wealth funds, UK pension funds, banks and several international development finance institutions”.
Elofs stresses that the move is an opportunity to “draw on the experience of having worked in London for many years and knowing what the current market trends are”. “It’s about showing our clients that we are a truly international company in terms of our expertise and service delivery,” he says.
