Julio Ariza explains the cynicism of the media when dealing with the pro-life protocol of Castilla y León
During his intervention in the programme Dando Caña on El Toro TV, Julio Ariza denounced the cynicism of the media in dealing with the pro-life protocol of Castilla y León. The journalist based his arguments on objective facts, analysing live the message that the Regional Ministry of Health – whose health councillor is from the Partido Popular – includes on its website, in a document dated 12 January 2023.
“The junta will promote health measures related to the promotion of the birth rate and support for families” (DOC).
In order to back up his theory, Ariza began by reading the following paragraph of the communiqué live: “Within the framework of defining measures to promote the birth rate and support for families in Castilla y León, as a result of the government agreement signed for this legislature between the Partido Popular and VOX, initiatives will be implemented, among others, aimed at helping women who need it to overcome the difficulties of becoming a mother”. In addition to highlighting this statement, the journalist took the opportunity to mention the main issues addressed and developed in the full text:
- Guarantee of assistance by clinical psychologists
- Fetal heartbeat protocol and cardiac recording
- 4D ultrasound scans for pregnant women
- Respect for conscientious objection
Pro-life press release
“The actions promoted in the document are a slight advance in life, a millimetre in defence of the unborn, while the socialists are going miles in favour of death. Some of them are going on like motorbikes and the entire left-wing media is building the discourse of women’s rights and the ‘setback’ that the offer of psychological services, 4D ultrasound scans, the right to conscientious objection for doctors implies”, Ariza argued.
In a fit of irony, Ariza confessed to being guilty of not being able to read. The press release, still available on the website of the Junta de Castilla y León, confirms what Gallardo said at a press conference, along with the PP government spokesman.
“A cynical response” from the right-wing media, says Julio Ariza
The right-wing media has accused Gallardo of being guilty of diverting attention in the media and occupying the front pages of the media instead of dealing with “Sánchez’s mistakes, dramas and tragedies”, the journalist points out.
However, it is these media that instead of opening with the mistakes of the President of the Government, they open with Juan García-Gallardo and attribute his behaviour to him, which is “cynical and completely stupid“, he criticizes. The press release is written and published by the PP, and now it turns out, in Ariza‘s words, that “it will probably send a message of distancing itself from VOX in the run-up to the elections“.
