SFDK brings a lot of humour to the launch of the DFSK 500
Humour and puns, just like in a good hip hop song. This is the approach of the launch campaign for the new DFSK 500. And to carry it out, DFSK has teamed up with SFDK, one of the most prominent hip hop groups on the national scene.
Playing with the initials of the car brand and the musical group, a fresh and humorous campaign has been designed. Very much in keeping with the car’s character: simple, with a modern and sporty design, and with very complete equipment where nothing is missing.
“There are very few occasions when you have the opportunity to tell the story of a car’s features with humour. Especially if the brand in question is unknown to the domestic market. In this category, magic or rational headlines and gimmicks reign supreme, but not humour”, stresses Miguel Moriarty, creative director of 22GRADOS,
Julián Alonso, president of the Invicta Motor Group, explains that “the campaign highlights the essential aspects of the DFSK 500 in a simple way and, above all, with a lot of humour. It is a daring bet that will make the brand’s values known, and especially those of this SUV, in a fun and light-hearted way. A far cry from the usual type of advertising in the automotive sector, which is why DFSK is a different brand.
The SFDK group, initials of the phrase “Siempre Fuertes de Konciencia” was created in Seville in 1993. It is currently formed by Zatu (Saturnino Rey) and Acción Sánchez (Óscar Sánchez) and is one of the leading hip hop bands in Spain. This year, as well as celebrating their thirtieth anniversary in the world of music, they have just released their ninth studio album, entitled “Inkebrantable”.

In addition, the campaign has also included a presentation spot for audio channels such as Spotify, presence in other audiovisual channels such as Youtube, and digital advertising in different formats. There is also a ticket promotion for the group’s concerts.

The DFSK 500 is an SUV with a five-door, 4.38-metre-long body with an attractive, contemporary and dynamic design. It offers a spacious and comfortable interior, with no central tunnel and plenty of space for the occupants of the second row of seats. In addition, it has a wide range of equipment, where elements such as automatic gearbox, climate control, full-link infotainment system, eco-leather upholstery and automatically folding rear-view mirrors are standard. It is available in two trim levels – Luxury and Intelligent – with a price starting at 17,495 euros and comes with up to 7 years of warranty, one of the longest on the market.

The DFSK 500 is powered by a four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1,498 cm3 and 106 hp. It can also run on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), in which case it obtains the ECO label from the DGT.
