Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, attended the gala of George Soros’ Open Society, a prominent globalist magnate, shortly after announcing her intention to seek a second term leading the European executive following the upcoming European elections in June.
During the event, von der Leyen coincided with Alex Soros, the magnate’s son and heir, who praised her opening speech and thanked the presence of EU leaders, senators, and officials at the gala.
The President of the European Commission stated that her decision to pursue a second term was carefully considered, expressing gratitude to the CDU for nominating her as the primary candidate for the European Commission.
The confirmation of her candidacy and the formal endorsement from her European political family is expected at the PPE Congress in March in Bucharest. Although the deadline for submitting alternative nominations expires this week, no other names have been put forward thus far.
