Banco Sabadell’s Director of Communications and Institutional Relationships, Gabriel Martínez, has been appointed as its new Deputy Director-General. His appointment was approved during the board meeting on 31 January.

As the establishment has informed, this is in recognition of Martínez’ extensive work. It will not entail a change in the normal performance of his duties, as he maintains his current position which he took over from Ramón Rovira in November 2017.

The Director of Communications has been a part of Sabadell since 1994 when he joined to lead the Department of Marketing and Corporate Image. In 2008 he became responsible for the company’s external communications, a position he held for nine years.

He has a degree in Business and Economic Sciences from the University of Barcelona. He also has MBA degrees from La Salle University in Philadelphia and IESE Business School at the University of Navarre.
