Starlite moves to Madrid with Sting as first confirmed artist
The Starlite Group and Ifema Madrid have reached an agreement to co-organise and bring to Madrid the magic of the Starlite Occident festival in Marbella in a new format, Christmas by Starlite, consisting of a series of concerts and with Sting as the first confirmed artist.
It will be held on 14, 15 and 16 December in Pavilion 6 of Ifema Madrid and with the renowned British musician Sting, who will offer a special concert of ‘My Songs’, his world tour, on Friday 15 December.
Sting’s ‘My Songs’ concert is a show featuring his best-loved songs, written throughout the 17-time Grammy Award winner’s illustrious career, both with The Police and as a solo artist.
Sting Fan Club members will have the opportunity to access exclusive pre-sale tickets on Tuesday 27 June at 10am via this link. Tickets for the general public will be available for sale on Wednesday 28th June at 12 noon via the website www.christmasbystarlite.com.
The event will be joined by top-level artists on 14 and 16 December, where experience and inspirational content will take precedence.
The president of the executive committee of Ifema Madrid, José Vicente de los Mozos, has valued that it is “a privilege to have joined forces with a brand of the value of Starlite recognised worldwide for its spectacular formula and its extraordinary line-up”.
For her part, the president of the festival and the Starlite Foundation, Sandra García-Sanjuan, said that they have been wanting to bring the DNA of Starlite Occident to Madrid for years. “We just couldn’t find the space that met our expectations, until we analysed the opportunities at Ifema, which are immense, and that’s why we’ve taken the plunge,” she said.
