Young man sentenced to over two years in prison for waving an English flag in front of an Islamic center
The repression by Keir Starmer’s Labour government against those who refuse to accept a multicultural and unsafe nation in the United Kingdom continues to escalate. After announcing that they would begin releasing “minor” offenders from prisons to ease overcrowding and carry out an unprecedented crackdown on those who protested, either on social media or in person, against the murder of three children, the Justice system has sentenced an 18-year-old to two years and two months in prison for waving an English flag in protest in front of an Islamic center.
On August 8th in North Yorkshire, the young James Martin, along with four others, went to the outskirts of an Islamic center on Roscoe Street. After 10:00 p.m., while those present inside were praying, he made confrontational remarks such as “What a stupid time to pray, don’t they have anything better to do?” and “We should always be proud of our flag.”
Then, a patrol that had been deployed because, according to the Justice system, violent demonstrations had been planned on social media that day, saw the young man waving the flag in front of the center and demanded that he leave the area.
According to the judge, the young man was not initially arrested, but when “threatened” with either leaving the place or going to the police station, he responded, “Let’s do it, I’ll have the day off work tomorrow.” He was then taken into custody, searched, and lighters were found in his pocket.
Now, as stated in the court where he was convicted, the teenager “is going to lose everything for one night of stupid behavior.” Martin, who has no criminal record, will miss the masonry course he was taking.
Upon reading the sentence, Judge Sean Morris, Recorder of York, told Martin that he had “dishonored” the flag he was carrying, which “belongs to everyone in this country.” “This requires an immediate prison sentence; there needs to be a deterrent element so that other 18-year-olds, who are working and have no prior convictions, realize that actions have consequences,” he concluded, indicating that this young man will suffer greater consequences than he deserves to serve as a warning to society.
