Chiara Zagonel, new Marketing and Communications Manager for De’Longhi Group in Spain
Chiara Zagonel has been appointed marketing and communication manager for the De’Longhi Group in Spain. She lands in this market after working closely with the sales teams in Germany as responsible for the food channel and as Go to market manager for European countries. In addition, she was also involved with the first Kenwood sales team when the De’Longhi Group acquired the brand.
“We live in a difficult context, in a convulsive and rapidly changing world, but, despite these circumstances, the Iberian market is performing well and we are capable of far surpassing the objectives set”, the manager assures us.
There is no shortage of challenges and objectives in her new position. For De’Longhi, one of them is focused on contributing to the development of coffee culture with the help of the already well-known Brad Pitt, who since last year has been an ambassador for the brand and has starred in the “Perfetto” campaign.
As for Kenwood, one of the main challenges will be to expand knowledge of the kitchen appliance sector and, in turn, to improve distribution by obtaining a more competitive product mix.
For Braun, the focus will be on maintaining the brand as the undisputed leader in the hand blender market, focusing on campaigns such as the gazpacho campaign. All of this, without forgetting the ironing category, an area in which the brand intends to continue strengthening its positioning and market share.
Zagonel will also have to contribute all its know-how to support the launch of Nutribullet, the latest brand acquired by the group. In this regard, it will be vital to turn the strategy around by focusing on nutrition as a lever for growth.
Finally, the digitalisation of marketing channels and tools is also very much on Zagonel’s agenda, aware that consumers are increasingly “multi-platform”. Impacting on them through all possible channels is something he points out as a great opportunity to boost the group’s image and maintain its leadership in an agitated global context with very high competition.
